Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and the reporting of security-related concerns.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
