About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Monitor in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least six months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff, emergency responders, and/or law enforcement when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with managing visitor flow throughout the healthcare location.
• Maintain required armed-officer qualifications, follow firearm handling protocols, and prepare clear reports documenting incidents, observations, and response actions.
