About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Troy, NC. The role serves and safeguards clients at a government corrections location. The officer conducts armed patrols, maintains a visible security presence, responds to security concerns, and provides customer service and clear communication. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. The stated pay rate is $21.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday, 5:45 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants for armed roles must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A valid firearms permit is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, perimeter areas, access points, parking areas, and assigned posts to help deter unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
Monitor access and screen authorized entrants, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
Document and report unusual activity, hazards, and incidents.
Maintain assigned equipment and complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with company and site procedures.
