About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Butner, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government corrections location. You will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible security presence, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. The role requires a valid driver’s license and calls for integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach. This is a full-time position scheduled Wednesday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while following site-specific procedures and security protocols at a government corrections location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and remain aware of authorized movement throughout the location.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies, following established procedures and reporting requirements.
Prepare accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and promptly communicate observations and incidents to appropriate personnel.
