Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations while maintaining an armed presence that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verifying credentials and reporting suspicious, unusual, and/or unauthorized activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Support security-related operations by preparing incident reports, maintaining radio communication, and following Allied Universal standards as well as site-specific policies and procedures.
