Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while preparing clear and accurate activity and incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or site representatives during emergencies, investigations, evacuations, and other security-related situations while following post orders and direction from Allied Universal supervision.
