Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed, driving patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while making a meaningful impact in the community through a caring and innovative approach.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience are required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials when required and assisting with security-related screening and/or access control procedures.
  • Work closely with site personnel and public sector representatives during routine operations, special events, and/or emergency situations while maintaining professional presence and readiness.
