About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Corpus Christi, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with calm, clear communication. This post requires an armed guard card/license and driving duties, so you will use your valid driver’s license to move between areas, document activity, and support a professional, service-focused experience rooted in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card and/or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A Level III armed certification is required for Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders and applicable laws, maintaining proper weapon handling, storage, and control.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, issuing clear verbal direction, and coordinating with public sector personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations.
Complete detailed written reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
