About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with calm, clear communication. This post requires an armed guard card/license and driving duties, so you will use your valid driver’s license to move between areas, document activity, and support a professional, service-focused experience rooted in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Level III armed certification is required for Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders and applicable laws, maintaining proper weapon handling, storage, and control.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, issuing clear verbal direction, and coordinating with public sector personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed written reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
