You will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols across transit facilities, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, and assist riders and staff with clear, respectful communication. Requirements

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton Certification is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
  • Perform armed patrol duties on foot and/or by vehicle throughout stations, platforms, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with site leadership and local responders as needed.
  • Control access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and monitor entry points to support compliance with site rules and regulations.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and communicate key information promptly to Allied Universal management and site representatives.
