As a Security Officer Armed Full Time Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government health location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations, and deliver professional customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess one of the following: a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government health services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas, while maintaining professional communication with the public and facility personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrol activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
