As a Security Officer Armed - Experienced in Georgetown, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence and close coordination with site leadership and/or first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, while documenting observations, incidents, and security-related concerns in a clear and timely manner.
  • Support a care-focused environment by using strong communication and de-escalation skills during interactions with patients, visitors, and staff, and by following post orders for medical-related and facility-related situations.
