As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help manage entry points at a premier private club location, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to members, guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Support daily operations by reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related observations through written reports and/or verbal communication.
