Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with residents, property representatives, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and report maintenance or access issues.
  • Assist with resident and guest inquiries, provide directions and information, and help support an orderly environment at the location.
