About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Entry Control Government in Delray Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to a government location, you will focus on access control and help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to maintain a visible presence while interacting with visitors and staff. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and answering security-related questions.
Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to established procedures.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.
