Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Government in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling a high-profile government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
Monitor for unusual activity and report security-related concerns or incidents according to site protocols.
Maintain visibility throughout the location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance to visitors, staff, and/or contractors as required.
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary, following established escalation procedures.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
