About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government in Edinburgh, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while demonstrating exceptional customer service and communication. This role requires both carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. Requirements

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and granting access as appropriate.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports for review by Allied Universal and client management.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, supporting incident resolution and/or response efforts.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions and report concerns promptly to supervisors or designated contacts.
  • Participate in ongoing training and drills to stay current with security-related procedures and emergency response protocols.
