Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help protect people and property.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions that may indicate a security-related concern.
Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and site-specific guidelines while carrying a firearm on duty.
