As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols in assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential threats.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and the public, providing assistance and information as requested.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services during incidents requiring additional support.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report any hazards, maintenance needs, or unusual circumstances.
