As a Security Officer Armed Driver in El Dorado, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors and contractors, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate logs, access records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates during shift changes and/or with site leadership.
