As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the chance to support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and communicating with local law enforcement when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter zones, with awareness that conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential risks in order to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other disruptive behavior.
• Support access control and security-related checks for restricted areas, deliveries, and/or after-hours activity while following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
