About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Armed Driver to support a government corrections location in Polkton, North Carolina. The role involves armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The listed pay rate is $21.50 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday from 5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, buildings, access points, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations, following established post orders and applicable procedures.
Monitor access to restricted areas and verify authorization as directed.
Document visitor activity, incidents, and patrol observations in required reports.
Maintain required qualifications and handle assigned equipment according to post orders, company policy, and applicable laws and regulations.
