Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorization in accordance with community procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, amenities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with residents and site management, document observations and incidents, and provide clear shift pass-down information.
