Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Driver Screening Post in El Dorado, AR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an armed and driving Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support site operations with strong communication, customer service, and professionalism while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access to the location by checking credentials, logging visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries, and following established entry and exit procedures.
  • Monitor gates, entry points, and restricted areas for unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and actions according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting potential hazards, access concerns, and/or maintenance issues within the working environment.
