As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or observations and/or interactions according to site procedures.
  • Carry authorized defensive equipment in accordance with post requirements, remain prepared to respond to escalated situations, and communicate with local authorities and/or supervisors when needed.
