Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor authorized entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to site protocols.
Support personnel, visitors, and/or vendors with directions, information, and reporting assistance while maintaining professional communication and adherence to government location procedures.
