You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, helping to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions, and support visitor and vehicle screening in accordance with site policies and post orders.
  • Support emergency and weather-related response activities, assist with de-escalation when needed, and coordinate with site contacts, first responders, and/or local law enforcement as appropriate.
