You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor and control access to buildings, restricted areas, and parking facilities by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation.
  • Operate access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and incident records, issue and recover temporary credentials, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed by site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
