Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, helping to document events and communicate with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or vehicle entry in accordance with post instructions for a highly regulated location.
  • Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post orders, and complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and/or shift handoff notes.
