About The Position

Requirements

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support entry control procedures for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and policy-related concerns, and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
