Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a defense and aerospace location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report unusual behavior, suspicious conditions, and/or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Support restricted area protection by observing sensitive locations, maintaining awareness of operational activity, and following post orders related to weapons handling, reporting, and incident response.
