Requirements

Possess an armed guard card/license.
Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-profile aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns according to post orders.
Support emergency and contingency procedures by assisting with evacuations, access control changes, incident notifications, and other assigned duties based on location needs and conditions.
