You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. This role requires an armed guard card or license and offers the opportunity to serve with integrity, reliability, innovation, and teamwork in a caring culture that puts people first.

Requirements

  • Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, taxpayers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government office areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, access control, and the reporting of suspicious activity or policy concerns.
  • Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol records, in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
