As a Security Officer Armed Access in Georgetown, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional service and communication. In this role, you will bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to each shift while responding to situations with care, confidence, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when appropriate, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to site protocols.
  • Support hospital and clinic operations by assisting with security-related calls for service, de-escalation efforts, and coordination with staff and first responders when needed.
