Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access at entry points by checking credentials, processing visitors and deliveries, and documenting arrivals, departures, and unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations through attentive observation of people, vehicles, and restricted areas within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned access points, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, as directed by site procedures.
