Requirements

Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Monitor entry points, alarms, cameras, and/or access-control systems; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and equipment concerns.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
