As a Security Officer Armed Access in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will interact with guests, staff, and visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and support a welcoming environment through clear communication and teamwork. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal with integrity, reliability, and care.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor authorization, issue or collect access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Report unusual activity, access control issues, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
