Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public-facing location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant activity and reporting concerns to site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance to the public, and/or help to address policy violations in a professional manner.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal leadership, local contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed regarding incidents, observed hazards, and follow-up actions.
