As a Security Officer Alarm Response Patrol in Palm Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
