About The Position

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Patrol in Piscataway, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a premier retail location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to guests and team members. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and help support a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position scheduled for daytime shifts: Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. The pay rate is $20.96 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and retail associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
Help maintain a professional, welcoming environment for customers and staff while deterring theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
