About The Position

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Monitor in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience using an alarm panel is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a healthcare and pharmaceutical research location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions, damaged property, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
