About The Position

As a Security Officer Airport Screener in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a visible, reliable presence. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or items entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to help support controlled access to facilities, loading areas, and operational spaces.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter, loading zones, and access points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
