As a Security Officer - Airport Concourse in Rosedale, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a fast-paced aviation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aviation location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and credentialed areas, verify access permissions, and document security-related events, observations, and/or escalated concerns according to site protocols.
• Support daily operations by providing directions, assisting with crowd management, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
