About The Position

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• 20+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and report suspicious behavior, unattended property, and/or policy violations in accordance with site instructions.
• Support day-to-day operations at the location by providing directions, assisting with crowd management, and/or addressing routine concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
