About The Position

As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with onsite contacts and public agencies as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
Monitor access points and restricted areas to help support authorized entry, provide directions, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior.
Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and/or routine activities, and assist with crowd management during busy periods, special events, and transportation disruptions.
