Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery processing while following site rules for restricted and sensitive areas.
Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and local requirements, maintaining professional readiness and supporting security-related response activities as needed.
