As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Covington, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional in a commercial real estate location, helping monitor entry points, manage visitor access, and support a secure, welcoming atmosphere. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, and integrity, you will help support daily operations and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and access permissions, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in support of security-related operations at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Support front entrance and reception-related functions by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, life threat, and/or security-related concerns through proper channels.
