Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will help support a welcoming environment through access control duties, badge verification, and routine patrols of assigned areas. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help manage authorized access, verify credentials, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with staff, visitors, and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, paying attention to access points, high-traffic areas, and other security-related conditions that may vary by site.
  • Support visitor management and customer service functions by providing directions, assisting with check-in processes, and helping to address questions or concerns in a professional manner.
