About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Specialist in Schertz, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with post orders and client guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including access points, trailer yards, loading areas, and perimeter zones, while reporting security-related concerns and unusual conditions.
