Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a residential location, verify authorization for visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations, and report findings according to site expectations.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery records, issue passes or credentials when required, and provide clear directions and information to support an orderly access process.
